HerronDev LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Barry Holt Invitational website located at barryholtinvitational.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you access or use our Site.
By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Site.
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you sign in through a third-party authentication provider, we receive your name and email address from that provider. If you sign in via SMS, we collect your phone number.
When you register for a tournament event, we collect the information you provide in the registration form, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and other details relevant to event participation (such as shirt size and golf handicap). In connection with tournament play, we also process event-related information such as your group and room assignments, handicap, and scores. Scores and related statistics may be provided to us by a third-party tournament scoring provider and displayed on the Site.
When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, access times, and pages viewed. A third-party service processes a portion of this information on our behalf to produce aggregate, anonymous statistics about Site usage (such as page views, top pages, and approximate visitor location at the country or region level). This service does not set cookies, does not assign persistent identifiers, and does not track visitors across other websites.
We also record first-party usage information in our own systems to understand how the Site is used and to operate its features. When you are signed in, this includes the pages you view, the time of access, and — if you have installed the Site as an app on your device — a signal indicating that you launched it as an installed app. This information is associated with your account. We use it only for internal product analytics and administration; it is visible only to site administrators, is never used for advertising, and is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
If you play podcast episodes on the Site, we save your playback position and completion status so you can resume where you left off across your devices. This listening activity is associated with your account, is stored in our systems, and is visible only to site administrators for internal purposes. It is never used for advertising and is never sold.
We use third-party error monitoring services to identify and fix technical issues. These services may collect your IP address, browser information, and error details. They may also record session replays of user interactions (clicks, navigation, and page content) to help us reproduce and diagnose issues. Sensitive information such as phone numbers is masked in these recordings. Session data is accessible only to site administrators.
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Site, including authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The aggregate analytics described in Section 1(c) are produced without cookies and without persistent identifiers.
If you choose to enable push notifications — which requires installing the Site as an app on your device and granting your browser or operating system’s notification permission — we store a push “subscription” for each device you enable. A subscription consists of an endpoint URL provided by your browser vendor’s push service (such as Apple, Google, or Mozilla) and the cryptographic keys needed to deliver an encrypted message to that device. We use this only to send the tournament and administrative notifications described in Section 2(b). Message contents are encrypted in transit, and the browser vendor’s push service relays the message without our sharing your identity or contact information with it. Push notifications are never used for marketing. You can turn notifications off at any time from your account settings or in your device/browser settings; doing so removes the stored subscription for that device.
To let the Site work when you are offline or on a poor connection, and to support the optional download feature, some information is stored locally on your own device rather than transmitted to us. When you are signed in, the Site may cache a copy of content you have viewed — such as your schedule, group and room assignments, and other pages — on your device so it remains available without a connection. If you choose to download a podcast episode for offline listening, that episode’s audio is saved to your device’s local storage until you remove it.
This on-device information stays on your device and is not sent back to us. It is automatically deleted when you sign out. Your device’s operating system or browser may also remove locally stored data on its own — for example to reclaim space — and you can clear it at any time from the Site or through your browser or device settings.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
All email and SMS messages we send are tournament-essential communications — including but not limited to registration confirmations, tier invitations, payment reminders, schedule and venue updates, group and room assignments, handicap notifications, and other operational messages required to participate in a tournament event. We do not send marketing or promotional messages, and we do not share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Because these communications are required to participate in a tournament, there is no opt-out for individual tournament emails or SMS messages. If you no longer wish to receive these communications, you must request that we remove your account, which will also withdraw you from any active registrations. To request account removal, contact us using the information provided in Section 9.
Outbound emails include a standards-compliant unsubscribe link as required by major email providers. Visiting that link or invoking the corresponding one-click unsubscribe action will be recorded so that an administrator may follow up, but it will not by itself remove you from any communications. Account removal is the only mechanism that stops these messages.
If you enable push notifications, we use them to send the same kinds of tournament and administrative updates described above — for example registration opening, schedule and group postings, calcutta activity, and time-sensitive day-of announcements. Push notifications are never used for marketing. Unlike email and SMS, push is entirely optional: you choose whether to enable it per device, and once enabled you may turn off individual categories of notification, or disable push entirely, from your account settings or your device/browser settings at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on the Site with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
